horny bois on the loose
[Or, rather, not so horny and not really on the loose at all, just crashing into a hotel room. Taako flops face down diagonally on the bed, so, deal with it Magnus.]

It bothers me that we knew. I knew. He came to us with his stupid card and his stupid plans and we believed that a flamethrower was going to change his mind. [That's not why he believed Assassin, though. He just. He thought he loved her enough to try.]
And then Ichigo told me, and Mutsu, and -- it should have been obvious, but I didn't think I was supposed to think that way. We shouldn't have given him a second chance. I always - [He's getting agitated, now, in the sort of dark mood he was this morning, thinking about how much he wants to hurt someone, kill someone, who tried to do something terrible, who tried to take away people who matter to him. But something isn't quite clicking. There's a reason, he knows, a reason why he should have known better. He knows there is, but he can't quite latch onto the thought.] I can't think of it, but I know -
We should have killed him when we had the chance.

Yeah. I know.
[Sliding his hand into the bend of Magnus' elbow. There's still blood under his nails, obvious beneath the heavily chipped polish.]
I'm, uh -- [Sorry? That he didn't let him do it? He just sort of trails off, lamely.]

[That snaps him out of searching for the memory, at least - Taako's apology, and the hand on his arm.]
If we'd done it, everyone would have been saying he was such a great guy, and we shouldn't have taken revenge, and we would've felt like heels. And maybe - maybe what Undine said was true. We would've made someone else angry enough to kill next week. But I can't accept that we didn't have an option except to let him make a confused little girl carry out his revenge plans for him.

Think Undine is right. Apparently dude made enough of an impression with his fake-bullshit that people were willing to get stabbed for him, so, probably would have just set off another cool revenge cycle. [Sighing.] I don't think the worst is over though, hombre. Think they'll see we've got the idea down, and try and throw things out there to get players to murder. Temptations.

You're probably right. And we have to make it two more weeks without everybody eating each other alive. Though maybe we'll find something out sooner...Anthy said we'd know by the end of this week.

Maybe . . . maybe it will just be a shitload of Geckos.

[He still wants! To fight! A gecko.]
It will probably be some shit where they tempt us to try and kill. But here's hoping!

[Um.]
For what it's worth, I'd fuckin' murder for a decent meal that isn't McDonald's right now.

[Then again, maybe poisoning hallucinations are a little too recent for Taako to be into that idea. It's fine either way.]

What-- No fuckin' way! What the fuck! Why didn't you tell me? Just sitting on that one until, what, I don't know, I had a knife out and was hovering around on Thursday jonesin' for a fresh bunch of cilantro? Fuck you!

Oh, so you were gonna let me go to my grave here, never having shown these assholes I can blow their goddamn minds? Poor sweet Taako, died for our sins last Saturday, shame I never told him Max has a Whole Foods in his goddamn pocket!
no subject
Fine, fine, I'll go in on some veggies for you? How's that?
no subject
Personally, thinking you owe me the whole deal, especially if you're gonna eat whatever I make, but that's just me.

...Though also, we could recoup some of the costs that way, too.

Whatcha gonna make?

. . . Ratatouille? A tomato Galette, maybe with some goat cheese, a little thyme, some caramelized shallots-- Oh, what about chard anzelottos? Or a cauliflower souffle!

[Happy at Taako perking up. Just letting him ramble about cooking.]
